The corpus of burned Lisco Gloria is on sale

Swedish data base Shippax.se has announced that the corpus of burned Lisco Gloria is on sale. The ferry Lisco Gloria has burned in the Danish territorial waters last year, October 9, while sailing from Kiel to Klaipeda. There were 204 passengers and 32 crew members on board. There were no casualties, but 20 people were poisoned by smoke and delivered to hospitals. The losses were valued at 200 million litas. The ship was purchase by the Estonian BLRT Group Western Refonda for the purposes of scraping. On February 22, 200 meter in length ferry Lisco Gloria was trailed from Danish Odens port to Klaipeda. Upon the careful inspection of the ship, it was concluded that the ship’s corpus is not damaged and fit for sale. All the undamaged equipment, mechanisms and other parts were removed and the ship was cleansed from burnt trucks. The director of Western Refonda Laurynas Trilikauskas claimed that after metal scraping, the ship’s front and back parts were not touched by the fire. In the middle of the ship, where the fire was strong, bottom part of its corpus was found intact. Mr. Trilikauskas assured that the scrapping works are all finished. Now, the ship’s corpus is on sale.
