The administration of the National Park "Kurskaja Kosa" in the Kaliningrad region will eliminate the 30- ruble fee per person for entering the park, but the car fees will increase from 250 to 300 rubles.

This decision has been taken because of the increased number of people coming in the summer who want to enter the National Park "Kurskaja Kosa". Therefore, due to various fees, queues are stretching at the eco-port.

When submitting a new method, the administration of the National Park "Kurskaja Kosa" invoked examples existing in Lithuania. It was tried to demonstrate that visiting the Curonian Spit National Park was more expensive.

Eco-tax in Lithuania is 15 litas (170 rubles), and it costs 40 litas (450 rubles) to use a ferry. The Russians also point out that in the territory of the National Park "Kurskaja Kosa", there’re no extra fees for parking, while in Lithuania, it is 12 litas or 135 rubles per day.

The National Park "Kurskaja Kosa" in Kaliningrad Region is one of the oldest in Russia, being established in Soviet times. The 0.35-3.8 km wide park extends 98 km and covers a 6621-hectare area.  1450 people live in the park territory.
